Little Bit of Maintenance, and a Nice Weekend.

So I started to get a squeal, more likely a bearing noise here and there on a left turn or light braking. Decided to replace it all just because I'm in there.

I did save the rotors and pads, they looked dammed good and still had markings on them, think they are the originals. Was pleasantly suprised that my replacement rotor/hub had the races pre installed. Pretty nice. Just Murrays/O'Rileys house brand stuff for the brakes, and National Bearings/Wheel seals.

Oh! And I've hit 5200 miles I've put on the car since I really started driving it in April. 8 states this summer, and it's been a blast.

Good work and great pictures TX.
Safety note: those rubber brake lines look old. They and the fluid are likely ready for your attention.
Fluid should be bled every 3ish years. Get a power bleeder it makes the job sooo much easier.

The do look a bit worn. No cracking i could see, and the brakes release fine (no interior blockage) but it is on the list for next spring, before the car comes back out definitely! Only a month or maybe two of crusing season left here.

Did bleed them though, all 4 bleeders cracked right open. I'm so used to rusty junk up here I was ecstatic! Lol. Got the black nasty fluid out, all new in.

Yeah no kidding. Usually it's heat>swearing>calling the parts store to see if they have a caliper/wheel cylinder in stock lol.

That Gold 88 coupe keeps re appearing in my dreams. What a gorgeous car that is.
