I was there one time about 8 years ago.... GREAT SHOW however the drive from Trenton NJ to the show was frightful crossing the Verranzano bridge in my 66 Delta 4spd and manual brakes. The worst was the drive home on the Belt Parkway that was bumper to bumper traffic for 10 miles or so. This and the stick in my Delta just about killed my clutch leg. Wish it were closer cause I want to go again!

I'll be there but it's going to be a quick look around and spend about $400 on Fusick and then I'll leave. Traffic is bad on the Belt Pkwy in the afternoon time.

Just some info if anyone is thinking of selling any used parts at the next L.I. Dust Off show DONT BOTHER! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS SHOW! You would think if you bring a bunch of used Olds parts that people are looking for that they would pay a fair price knowing that their not paying an Ebay,Paypal or shipping fee with the sale, but NO,They want things for a quarter of the asking price or for a few dollars like it was a yard, garage or Tag sale. Everyone complains how the internet ruined the prices of classic cars and parts yet when you have the classic parts available in hand people are still cheap @sses and dont want to pay. Maybe I'm wrong in saying this but I guess that some (but not all) people at the L.I. Olds dust off don't understand the whole internet or Ebay prices for parts because they still think it 1978 prices. My prices well very low and fair. I had one guy tell me that a original part that I had went for $40.00 repro'd from fusick and didn't like that I was asking $60.00 OBO for my perfect original one that I had meanwhile I know it goes for $149.00 from Fusick. What a dick! You know who you are! Look I understand the selling deal but please know what your talking about before you open your mouth otherwise you look and sound like an ***. Never again will I ever bring used parts to a show, which is a shame because that use to be a small highlight of a carshow. I was just trying to be old school and sell some parts locally at a good price but I guess that time is over.I did make a couple grand selling the same parts online. It's sad because some of the parts I sold are going outside the 48 states which we'll never see again. But don't bitch at me, I tried to sell locally.

Everyone puts a value on parts. i dont know what you were selling and I dont know your prices. There are some that price their things outrageously in my opinion but I guess eventually the item does sell at their price or they would not be in the parts business. There are a few Olds parts sellers that I would NEVER buy from because of their stupid prices. Me, i am not in the parts buisness and usually sell my extra stuff cheap or give them away for free.

Yes! that what I was doing. Selling extra parts I dont need from old projects. I didnt have prices like I had gold just prices to sell fairly but I was shocked how cheap people were.(For example) I had set of doors from a 82-88 olds which are hard to find clean with no rot in the new york area and everyone acted like they were a dime a dozen (and my price was under $500.00 for the pair) Forget about my 68-72 cutlass parts, those prices were even lower. What ever! I don't want to hear people crying that all the good parts are going to other countries anymore. I tried to sell locally. If others are willing to pay, I ship them anywhere in the world.

Also oldsmaniac sorry about our belt parkway here in New York. I read your story trying to get to the show. That highway/parkway is horrible. You can lose a tooth filling driving on that road. The only good thing is there isnt any troopers on that road like they are all over jersey highways where your from. :-)
