Leap of faith..66 442 purchase

Well, I took the plunge today, bought a car off video and pics, Guy owned it since 1993, bought it restored from someone in detroit who restored it.. He says he was told it was all original other than the color change.. he's not a car guy but a vascular surgeon. Be cool as all get out if the head had a T on the end of the numbers...lol. 4 barrel car but one can dream.

4-6 days.. guy who is driving the truck lives 25 miles south of me.. crazy I called Mont way about noon because I’ve been talking to them about this transition. He told me I have a guy up there in that area probably get it in the next couple days, I bought it this morning and the guy picked it up literally 20 minutes ago. So the stars are lining up so far

The car is dirty it’s been sitting in storage garage for a year hasn’t been run other than once in a while they would start it up. So I’m sure there’s some scratches, the paint is 28-30 years old or more but it’s been well well taken care of. Always key inside, interior is immaculate.Hopefully I can figure out what color black it is and touch it up and wet sand it , buffet out and it’ll look good for several years before I have to paint it. Who knows if it’s bass clear or single stage I’ll have to figure it out when I gets here. I know the markets crashing I made him an offer well below and he actually took it.. if the market crashes worse oh well, I can’t worry about **** like that this is a hobby and it makes me happy so that’s what’s important

i used to have a 66 2+2.the 421 was long gone and at the time i had a 455 olds motor i put in it but could not find a drivers side ex manifold and ended up pulling it back out,but ironically a couple years ago at a swap meet i picked up a pair of dual ex manifolds.wish i had the 2+2 back.

Schweet ride, Andy! Your patience paid off

(if by any chance you get an extra console in the deal, I'll take it off your hands, LOL)
