The latest Craigslist find

Well, I spotted this 1969 Toronado on Craiglist and just couldn't pass it up. Tags expired in 2009 so I need to clean it and blow the cobwebs out then decide if its a project or parts car. Right now its looking good enough to save as a project car. I do have another 1969 and a 1968 that are both parts cars so I may be able to pull items from them for this one. I'll keep you guys posted as to what I find after I clean it up. John

Check it carefully. Most of the '69 W-34s that have been found have no vinyl top, and basic wheel covers. We found a W-34 like that in 1976. Cinnamon Firethorn. What a fun car. We could not find pump gas good enough for that high compression 455.
That car looks very straight, solid and original. Congrats!

Now here's a game changer. Unless I find something really bad wrong with the car it should be saved and restored. Thank you twintracks and Octania for suggesting it might be a W34. That wasn't even on my radar as a possibility. John

Nice find John. A little tinkering, she might just fire.

Thank you for your comments guys. The car does appear to have the W34 option so I decided to create a new thread discussing what I find. If your interested please check out the photos in the new thread:
