Landau roof or not?

The vinyl roof on my black 76 Cutlass is torn and there is the typical rust underneath near the lower rear glass. It needs to be fixed, but I'm wondering if I should leave the landau roof off and just go plain hardtop. Is the opera window trim the same for the non landau? I know the rear glass trim is different. Just wondering about all the pros and cons. All suggestions welcomed. Thanks. BTW, I'm replacing the white walls with BFG radial TA's if that makes a difference.

One of the BIG cons is to get the roof back in shape for paint, as that glue residue and small rust spots are a nightmare to remove!
Most shops won't even give an estimate 'til the old roof is off, and the condition is exposed.
Then the area around the window is also a trouble-prone area - big$$$.
