The KING of ridiculous !
The KING of ridiculous !
We've all seen insane prices on Ebay, but I think this guy consistently wins the prize ! Only to be outdone by the fools who might buy this stuff... check out his listings...

Guess he needs someone to fund his IRA.
The story he put together on the “Ram Air V engine” is somewhat delusional - read the story at the bottom of the listing for the intake.

Exactly as was stated. What people ask and what people get can be so far apart. You can ask crazy prices all day. If they don't sell then you aren't getting your ridiculous price. I see prices even here and go wow really? But sometimes they do sell. You see this kind of gouging (or attempted gouging) in any and all hobbies.

Of course, the other side of that is why do people think ASKING price is any measure of what something is worth? I see so many ads on C-llist or FB Marketplace that include "...seen these for $1500 or whatever on ebay..." Yeah, so what? They didn't sell there, either.
This isn't really a good example of laundering since it has to be sneakier than that, less blatant, and doesn't involve cash that smells like stripper crotch, but that's how it would go.
