Very impressive looking car. Kinda sounds like a bit of a strange recluse to buy a car like that and not drive it except at night??

I was looking at that one yesterday. Hell of a story behind it.

The guy had to be pretty weird. He had not checking account and no credit cards. There might be some money buried in his backyard in a coffee can.

What a 1 in a million kinda deal. Sure there are loads of low mileage super cars about but from a Howard Hughes (not money but "off" maybe) kinda job, weird but way cool. I may download the rest of the story and soak that up.

Thanks for the link.

He certainly picked the right model and it occurred in the right year. Looks perfect!

I had read about this car about a year or so ago. One thing that is really unusual is that he changed the valve covers and the air cleaner. I think it is an usual color combo but very pretty. No doubt it is the holly grail of Corvettes. The car will be a reference for anybody restoring a 67 Big Block Corvette. It will be interesting to see what it goes for. Does anybody know what the neighbors sold it for.

I'm guessing this car will get sell for close to $1,000,000.00
Any other guesses or thoughts on the auction selling price?
