Kick panel for speakers

Im finally finishing my all new legendary interior install and wanted to put kick panel speakers so I wouldn't have to cut any holes where there are not any now.
Tried the ones from retro manufacturing and classic car stereos, neither one will work on drivers side for various reasons. Has anyone here decided to do this and had any luck finding ones that do fit. Thanks

I have the Classic panels in my 67. I had to make a spacer/bracket to move the dash end of the brake assy. away from the side panel to clear the speaker bulge. Depending on the brand of speakers and their covers you will have to tailor the length of the spacer. On mine the spacer is approx. 1" and the rubber pad lightly touches the speaker grill.

I installed a set from Classic in my 71 Supreme and there were no fitment issues. My car has AC so the non-AC panels may be a different story.

Looks like you need a speaker with a smaller cage for the magnet on the driver's side. They do sell some 'low profile' speakers, maybe they will fit better?
This looks like it might have a better taper, but it is pricey for just one speaker. Check places like Crutchfield maybe?

I bought a set from Classic Auto Sound for my 72 CS. What you will have to do is elongate the hole (just above the release) in the Emergency brake pedal to move it to the right to miss the speaker grill.

got mine from classic auto sound for my 68 and the brake pedal just misses the kick panel so I keep my foot on it when releasing it and let it up slow. Didn't need to move the brake pedal.
