Kent VFW Car Show Pics
Time for my weekly round of pics!! I didn't shrink any of them, since it doesn't seem to work to well anyhow. So enjoy!
There are a couple Oldsmobiles that someone had to degrade. Why is it always the Olds??

It took a lot of these to do that to a Cutlass, lol! Hanging under the back of his car.
KentVFW2010006.jpg
And to make it worse, a Chebby motor!

It gets worse!

Them are fightin' words, Redgoat is salty.
I have him in a half nelson and I'm typing this with my free hand.
I don't know how much longer I can hold him back. The Mr. Spock shoulder sleeper squeeze hold is my only option now.
Those guys have way more money than brains.
I wish I would have been there.
No I don't.
That guy with the "Dingleball Delta" must not know that displaying trophies like that at shows is one of the most uncool things you can do, unless you're a girl of course.
The car probably took at least a month to build. I think Liberace used the same material as the interior for the curtains and bedspread in his boudoir.
Does the "Cajone Cutlass" even run??
I see the nut and bolt for the battery terminal clamp is gone.
He probably needed them to attach those "things" to the back of the car.
I've seen them before and they're in very bad taste, but nobody will ever accuse that guy of having good taste.
You should have given them a swift kick Sandy, something tells me you've done it before.

Well thats it really isnt it. I think they would be considered heavily modified and should be in separate class ....heck separate car show. stupid things like 22" wheels and cebby motors in Olds , and chebby stripes on Olds trunks

Have you see fetter bill's car? As usual, you don't have any idea what you are talking about. All the hell you do on here is stir up crap and peddle your valve covers. Get a life Andy.

who cares?
that guy that owns that orange ragtop busted his *** making that car what it is.
you may think it's a screwed up POS,but that doesn't make his car any less than yours.
ive never seen a more stuck up bunch of car show snobs than on this board.well, maybe the HAMB board
you act like your cars are the only ones on the planet, and if other people do it differently,OMG,they just aren't worthy.
worthy of what?you people arent anybody special
you are the ones that really need to get a life.

Who Cares???
They are opinions... so what do you care or expect , especially on a website called CLASSIC OLDSMOBILE.
My opinion is that there be a modified division for cars that are modified similar to these examples. There are features of the delta 88 that i like , love the wheels and bodywork and would think the hood ok only if it had a clear acrylic or something to keep the rain out of the engine. I cant tell if he does or not. i dont really like the interior cloth he went with nor the steering wheel , not my taste even for a modified hotrod. The motor looks ok though we dont have a good closeup.
I like going to some shows that do have a modified division and some guys have some pretty heavily modified hotrods and some i like a little some a lot and some not at all. I dont really think people should either be catagorized as fetter bill did when he insinuated the cars trophies came over from Porto Rrrico?? yep we all take shots at things we dont like , my big thing is 24" wheels on a cutlass S or worse a 442. My opinion is that it looks stupid and that will always be my opinion , I cant change that .

Yes it does. Not only does my owner's manual say so, but in the "Official Oldsmobile Handbook of What Constitutes a Worthy Car" it states on page 143, and I quote, "Any orange piece of crap with Oldsmobile badging is worth less than every other Oldsmobile if it is so determined by the Oldsmobile owner who is appalled by the orange piece of crap."

your right opinions opinions thats all they are wolfman ,i didn't insinuate anything .i happen to like the classic olds any year any model as long as they are original or close to it resto mod is cool too my ride is 72 cutlass s that some day i will post pictures of and then someone could have bad opinion of it. o well fitter BILL as in pipefitter
#27
Pipe fitter Bill? no kidding , my sisters husband is a pipe fitter and works up in Fort McMurray. Tar sands and for Sun Corps. yeah the point is that with any car show be it in person or seeing them via pictures everyone is going to have an opinion about what they see , especially when it becomes an expression of style like these cars were.

And that is coming from Looney Andy who compares 2 inch stickers (which do nothing to change the overall look of the car) to the orange piece -of -crap- mobile from circus town. Just a brilliant comparison, I mean, just brilliant. And lets not forget the rest of the dysfunctional baggage the Loon man carries wth him to every Olds site he frequents.

Well you know I did not mind the orange car right up until the pictures of the interior. It was just too Cheech and Chong for my liking.Everything else was cool and well done
But orange velour seats and door panels as well as orange dash and sunvisors with little white dingle ***** , a chainlink steering wheel and even dice on the column shifter. I thought it was too over the top and tacky , but that is my personal opinion of which I am allowed to have.
There was not much about the black cutlass that i liked.

What everyone seems to be missing is the greatest atrocity of all. That last picture with the lime green Cutlass painted, from what I have read in other posts, a F*rd color. Eeewwwww! LOL I love Teepo!
Thanks for the pics and the great reading.
