Jetfire display engine

I picked up this Jetfire engine out of Illinois a year ago. It was mostly junk but I saved all the good stuff I could from it. What is left I built a display engine out of. It is built of mostly junk parts. Instead of tossing the junk stuff I figures it would look good for a display. I did not get to carried away with the details and still have more to do but I am not going to add plug wires or anything else that is not specific to the turbo system.

Very nice, bet you could get some serious cash out it. Nice display for an engine/machine shop.

That is awesome Eric, maybe the only display of that kind in existence?

I believe they already have one. Jim Noel built one for them. It was a complete rebuilt engine and turbo setup. He donated it to them. This one is mostly junk and for display. It is not even a quality display like the one he built. I have taken as much weight out of it as I could so I can roll it around easier. I just need to build a stand with good wheels for it. Mine is so bad that the exhaust tubes and valve covers were rusted out. I just filled the holes with a 70's style bondo job and painted them.

I put a little more on it but nearly done. It is nothing special, just extra junk laying around I tossed together.

Great job on the display engine. I would go with the alternator, belts, and fan, but not the wiring.
