When I was talking with the salesperson, she didn't mention that they were made to fit over the existing seat covers. I did not find that out until I got them and read the installation instructions.
I had a few issues getting them to fit correctly and they still didn't come out perfect. But for the money (1/3 of what legendary wanted for the original covers) they aren't that bad.
I am still in the process of figuring out the best way to finish the split bench backrests. I got seat cover on but am cautiously coming up with a good plan of attack. Since they are not stitched exactly like the original you have to be wary when cutting material, should you cut too much and cannot hog ring it securely.
Anyway attached are a few pics of the rear seat installed. The wrinkles in the front of the bench were not there before I installed it.
I had to man handle the seat to get the spring to fit inside the bracket. Tight fit to say the least.Oh, and I did the package tray out of hardboard, 3/8" thick and wrapped in vinyl that matched the seat trim. Got the idea from Aceshigh.
