The Illiniois Valley Olds Club held it's Spring dust off and membership meeting at El Don Pollo in Alsip, IL on Saturday 04/25.

I would take any of those A-Bodies and daily them. Those cars ride and drive beautifully. I've owned a few. The 69 arguably has to be the best design. I used to live 10 minutes from that Car Hop. Been there many, many, times. Thank you for posting.

 

Yes, was a 'Frosted Mug' Root Beer place not that long ago, may have been a Dog n Suds before that?

 

I remember it being The Frosted Mug. That area is a little sketchy now. Am I wrong? I go to Blue Top once a month out here in Highland Indiana.

Dang... I have to make it out to the Blue Top again, nice place. I've cut over on Ridge Rd in the past avoiding 80/94..

 

Blue top is a funny, funky place. Whenever I'm there I am usually the only decent performance car in the lot. There is generally one, and only one car in the lot that is performance. I don't know why but it just seems it doesn't have the draw it used to. The area is fine. I just don't think it has what it once had if that makes any sense. I will reserve judgement until they have a show and we'll see what shows. I think it will be ok. The area is very good though.
