I don't see how the car can be called a W30 unless it has some paperwork though. If it can't be proven then it ain't necessarily so. With the #-matching trans long gone, unless it has a POPlate or whatnot, it could be any 442 with or without the W30 pkg.

What you see is a complete frame off restoration that was started at a shop and not finished. The shop that had the car closed down and the car was put in storage and I picked it up. The body was a rust free car that needed very little body work. The car was taken off the frame and the frame has been restored and painted. This car is a real W-30 with buckets and a console, rally gauges, and a wood wheel. None of these parts were with the car. What you see is what you get, no other parts. There is no engine or transmission. The car has a new trunk lid, but no hood. It looks like a factory automatic (which is kind of rare) that was converted to manual and is now in the process of going back to original. As you can see in the pictures the console bracket appears to be that of an automatic and also original to the car. The tunnel has already been patched. Installed in the car are new red inner fender wells. The old pair were junk, as you can see one in the back of one of the pictures. I don't think you will find another car this clean, if you have a rusty project this is perfect for you. Just restoring the frame alone is a big cost, add in a clean body with all of the body work done and you can see someone has spent some money. All you need is a hood and you're basically ready for paint."
Well he described the original red inner fender wells as junk. But they're starting bid is $895 on another auction. The don't look faded, yes they have some damage but if it were me I'd have just kept the originals with the car.

I messaged him and asked "how much for the junk red inner fenders?" He messaged me back that he was going to list them because he got so many inquiries but then proceeded to put them at a starting bid so high no one is going to touch them. eBay is just a waste of time. Had he put a reasonable starting bid he might have gotten that much.
I agree, with no drive-train or docs it's just a nice clean shell to start with. Other than the crappy repair job on the floor it seems to be very clean. I'd love to have what appears to be that mint NOS deck-lid for my '68!!! The pie pan in the trunk is correct for '68 isn't it??? My old parts book only lists the "Ram-Rod 400" decal(not tin plate) for '69 only. They show 3 plates that pertain to big-block '68s Rocket 400 for vistas,Rocket 455 for H/Os & the 442 plate.
