Identification

I have searched through this site to look at bench to bucket conversion and along the way I have seen people reference a "sport bench" seat with arm rests. I'm not sure if my car came stock with bucket seats or with a bench but I was wondering if the VIN would add any help with finding out. I am going to do a conversion at some point and have not lifted the carpet to find out of the brackets are in place for the buckets but I would like to know any information that the VIN would tell me.

Here is the number 344679E165959

Thanks
Mike

Look at the fender ID tag which tells the date of mfr, color, and interior. Post a pic of the tag and someone will be able to answer your question.

Trim code 947: Parchment interior, standard (split, no armrest) bench seat, like in this fancy car for sale right here:

The sport bench with armrest was not factory available in the 442 in the 1967 model year.

Well then it looks like I will need to add the appropriate hardware for the buckets.

Joe this is a 69 car as far as I know
