While on the subject of 66's I was at local show here and I wished I had my camera with me. There was a 65 f85 with 17000 original miles. The car pretty much was mint except for a few scratches on the rear seat vinyl. The owner had just purchased it from an estate sale in NJ. The color was champagne and I was really impressed with the factory paint, it was flawless. I told him about the Mid Ohio OCA show and he is going to attend and I will get some pictures then and post.
It is the best example of a original car I have ever run accross of any make or model period.

I cannot believe how much faith some people have in "low mileage" cars. Just because it had 19,000 miles - like that means something after its been repainted and restored? It could have 100 miles on it but if its been repainted and the engine has been pulled or swapped and the interior has been pulled and redone then its lost its allure.

The front seat pad is grooved from some one sitting there for many miles ...
The driver door is hammered. I can't believe the pic from behind that shows the bad bodywork ...
The heat warped dash is a nice touch ...
Hosed clamps ...

It depends also on how the 19,000 miles were used! Lots of cars pop up with less than 25,000 miles but the more high performance they are (like a W30 or Hurst/Olds) the more likely they were raced into the ground or someone blew up the engine a long time ago and the car sat until someone decided to buy it and restore it. once it has been painted I feel the value of a survivor drops radically. I like the guys that instantly tell you "my car has 20,000 original miles" and they try to impress you. I say "so you dont even know what its like to own or drive the car". All they have to talk about is there low mileage. Also it needs solid documentation like receipts and such over the years to see that it truly has low mileage. a car like this 66 that just pops up is phony but I think all us Olds guys know this already.
