I can’t remember how many times I’ve heard that muscle cars are overvalued and won’t be worth what someone is paying “these days!!”
it’s been 40 years for me,, that every few years they seem to jump in price while experts and the know it all’s continually say they won’t.
True documented original, restored or not cars have ALWAYS held their value and GAINED in worth, some of them astronomically.
crap, even known clones or fakes or tribute cars are commanding big dollars. Muscle cars are at the point right know that many have already gone through one, two or even a third restoration where they have been driven and lost that fresh restored look.
ive yet to see one that’s lost 50% . Unless it’s been whacked… even that may not hurt it’s value it seems
but go ahead and keep telling us they’re not worth it,, maybe one day those saying that will be right. Just like “ it’s gonna rain soon” 🙄

Cars are a hobby for me, I have never had any expectations of getting an ROI off my hobby. Its nice with the market that the last two I sold I actually came very close to breaking even on even with me doing 75% of the work. None of my cars were ever or the ones I have now will ever be frame off cars. I drive them, I drive them to the grocery store, home depot, wherever. For me thats the-fun of them. Brings back memories along with I still get a thrill out of rowing thru the gears 50 years later. Car shows one in a while, but not often. The fun is doing the resto work yourself to the best of your ability, watching the car get nicer and nicer as you continue. Then standing back and being proud of the work you did..Everyone has a different level of expertise or workmanship. You want a W30, you have the cash and are willing to part with it for the car? Then do it, if its your dream or you just love it..none of us are taking **** with us when we are called home..
