Hurst buick???
Or the containment vessel of the 79 H/O was fubar and the Buick transplant was means to recycle a power train. Its definitely different... just think of the what the car show talking heads conversations would be.
Anybody with a clue will realize that there are parts in that car that were built long after the 1972 model year, so obviously it's not a factory-built car.
I find it strange that one guys changling into what he thought as a custom is deemed to be unacceptable and ugly! Guys it is a custom and they do anything and everything to make one guys vision that he defines. I don't think he is saying it was a factory version in anyway!Wow why all the negativity.I like the color.
the colors are fine, the idea is fine but the design doesnt fit the lines of the car. the design was for a square car. its not negativity its just opinion. i'm tired of this notion you can't be critical anymore. its a lot of whats wrong with this country on so many fronts.

why do you have to get them to understand anything? they have their own thoughts and opinions. from an asthetic standpoint it doesnt flow well. i'm both a buick guy and an olds guy, i have an 83 hurst olds and 70 GS stage 1, the whole thing is off to me. Motor swaps are just motor swaps but on the other hand, if wanting to tribute a olds, pick 1 of the 3 that shared that basic body style, the 68, 69 or 72. the 79 just doesnt work. i thought it was a 73 charger or road runner at first glance.
I have to agree. This is no different than the aftermarket W-25 hoods used on the 73-77 cars where the scoops don't even come close to lining up with the grilles, for example.

Out of here no wish to debate merit or non merit of this custom car with you. I was saying it is a custom car not a tribute no matter what adds or opinions are it is what it is.
Lines can make or break a car. the grill openings on the 86 grand prix 2+2 totally kill the front end. the top of the grill openings should have lined up with the top of the head light openings but instead are an inch lower and it makes it look very odd. where as on the monte SS nose it lines up symetrically across the front of the nose.
For me. I wouldn't have put the New Hurst logo on it. Move the lower Gold line by the back side windows toward the back more and then follow back glass forward and over the top. Then take the wheel out of the truck and paint the Black to Gold to make it "look of the period". Take off those BIG *** emblems off the door panels.
My two cents.
