I've heard nothing but good things about Hughes but I don't have any personal experience. Any guy who can get a 200R4 or a 700R4 to live behind a big block has to be doing something right.

I'm running a Hughes 2500 behind my 455, and am very happy with it. No Problems.

I tried a couple of their units, 20 years ago.
They never seemed to stall where they said they would, seemed too tight.
Car ran much better when we went to an A-1 converter.
Nothing recent, though.
