You will probably need to go to your local muffler shop. I don't know of anybody that makes pre-bent ready to install duals for a 56. The frame should already be cut on the left hand side since duals were available in 56. If I were putting them on, I would use a set of these. These things are built like a tank and would be period correct. I am going to guess you will spend about $700 all in.

Not enough info

Stainless or aluminized?

Mandrel bends or not?

Cross over or X pipe?

2" 2.5" 3" ?

Turn downs or out the back and tips?

No name mufflers or top shelf?

I would say anywhere from $500 to $1000 installed depending on answers to above posed questions.

Bought mine from Scott there a few years ago.

Thick pipe, aluminized, not exactly like the original, but fit darned well for a pre-bent system - only required a little bit of muscle to install.
I asked for quiet mufflers, but they were still throatier than I wanted, but, hey, they do sound cool.

Also, I think I caught him at a good time or in a good mood - it arrived something like 3 or 4 days after I ordered it.

He'll also do stainless.

I think I paid $650 and got a good deal using dual Flowmasters, very doubtful if my muffler guy would do it again for that amount. This was on my 55 and are harder to install than a 56...... Tedd

I used Classic to do a stainless system for my 70 wagon, he even up sized the 2" tailpipes to 2.25" per my request. $800. I was pleased with the quality of the bends and rather impressed with the quality of his in house fabricated mufflers. Mind you this system will not install itself, but based on quality and price, I feel as though it is a very good option.

That's a good price as long as they are using aluminumized pipe and good hangers. Our local muffler guy is an artist and has done a great many local hotrods with reasonable prices.
