House Demo

Neighbor across the street started tearing down part of his house today so he can build his new addition. Took about 45 minutes from beginning to end to stuff that extension into the dumpster nice and tight, amazing.
Although sad on the surface to see the old go the best part is he's building a three car garage with a lift and told me anytime I need the lift it's open to me, wow! He just wants use of my blast cabinet. I call that a deal.

Wow! What a change. Like you said it is even more spectacular because of the short time it occurred in. His driveway must be a very deep one and well made to handle the weight of that equipment. I bet six inches thick is the minimum up there eh?

I'm not sure there is a building code on driveway depth here. But yes, that thing is a behemoth.
Not to get technical but if you decided to figure out the psi of those tracks it's probably lower than you think due to their size. They are two feet across minimum.
I watched him pack that dumpster down and the power of that thing is amazing. He lifted the whole right side of the excavator right off the ground like it was nothing. It's impressive. That's why we like Tonka trucks, lol.

Cool pictures, I had this done in 2001 and it is amazing how fast they come down with a backhoe. I had a 2 1/2 car garage that fit into a dump truck after the demo. He then pulled the backhoe onto a trailer being pulled by the dump truck and he was gone. Less than two hours from the time he pulled up.
Cheers, Mike

I had to chuckle here....early in my sales career we had one of each model Oldsmobile for test driving customers to "sell" them on why Oldsmobiles were superior to our competition. What did we call those cars?

Wow that is a very aggressive machine for residential work. It is a 20 ton excavator. I use to run a 330 and they are practically the same size. That's how you get stuff done boys!

Check6 I'm in Middletown, RI, just north of Newport on the same island. I tend to forget I live on an island though because we have three bridges to the mainland.

bccan if I can get to any shows I will try but more likely is next year. Tell me more about the NEOC show in CT. My buddy just bought a rail dragster and is racing in the Nostalgia drags near the CT/MA border somewhere. I'll be checking that out this summer for sure.
