2 weeks 'til HAN. Anybody going?

 

I am! It will be my first visit to HAN! Staying up at Lake Tahoe (Stateline) near where my son lives.

Been there a bunch but never with my car. About 8 years ago a couple of gangs from out of town caused a heap of trouble ( heard the cops and merchants have fixed that issue now) and i just didn't want to risk it at that time, but if anyone can make it it's like nothing you ever seen. Truly a bucket list destionation....Tedd

 

Ya, we got caught in the middle of that crap, a friend had a car on display in front of one of the casinos and we were watching it then the local paper interviewed us after. All hell broke loose at the corner we were standing on and the casinos locked the doors so we didn't have a whole lotta options to get away.

 

Would love to make it out there! Got an extra plane ticket? I know you go every year which means it must be special for you to keep returning. Anyway, have a great time! Are you gonna be back in-time for the big Raleigh show?

 

Thanks. Yeah, my dad actually started going first with my uncle and after the first time he knew it would be something I would love and so we've gone for about 10 years now. It's crazy expensive now but it's one of those things where the one time we decide not to go...you know how that story ends. I'll be gone Aug 9th to the 13th so I'll definately be back for the downtown show. Will your car be ready then?

 

Yes, I'll be there...in the 442 unless I hit a major snag. Just finished restoring the console and have the console/shifter mocked up in the car. It's coming together pretty nice. Been listening to the AM radio I re-installed as I work . Going to have to get the 'real' system installed under the seat sooner than I thought!

I grew up in Reno. It was amazing every summer to see beautiful classic cars EVERYWHERE around town. One of my favorite things to do during Hot August Nights was to watch the cruise through downtown Sparks!!!

Have fun, the weather is absolutely perfect there at this time of year.
