Horn Issue

Hello all! I'm trying to get the horn working on my '62 Starfire. I found the two wires that come down from the horn pads in the steering wheel and are spliced together into a single male plug, is not plugged in to anything. Not sure if I'm calling it by the correct name, but I believe it should plug into a "contact insulator brush" somewhere in the hub

of the wheel? It looks like that part is missing. Can anyone out there shed some light on this for me please. Is there a replacement contact insulator brush out there that would work? Thanks for any help on this!

Not sure if this is any help, but this is a piece of the section on the horns in the '61 factory service manual.

Well, there's nothing that can't be fixed by the application of a BFH (Big "Ford" Hammer).

Joe's got this one. Show of hands please- how many horn problems have been solved with a BFH?
