Im sure it cost alot of time and money to lift it and put those big a$$ rims and tires on. I just can’t figure out why someone would do it. I found a link to a lift kit source in case any of you wantbto try it.

There's something on the front fender below the 442 - Could be a W-30 badge. The car must have been ordered stripe delete

not my "thing" …..
but neither are 500/600/700hp engines in cars that will never see a race track

at least it is an Oldsmobile & the owner can say "I drove my car today" - wish I could say that!

Like the cutout rear bumper and 442 emblems???
I think it was converted to that height so the oil changes would be slam dunk easy....

If you're gonna lift it that much you should make it 4 wheel drive.
At least then there's a reason for it to be lifted so high.

I have said the same thing. If the car is a total rust bucket, on not useable for much else, then I see nothing wrong with setting the body on a blazer or short bed 4x4 chassis. Don’t screw up a restorable car on stupidity. I’m sure the owner doesn’t think it’s stupid, but of course he wouldn’t!!

I don't even like lifted trucks or trucks in general but they have some purpose, this has none.

One of the brothers from New Orleans saw the look on my face and said "Welcome to the south, Mike" and I predictably said how the heck do you turn it with those wheels. His reply "with a very wide radius". Just didn't see the point.

Some wide white walls and a set of curb feelers would put the final touch on her!

It's better than the junkyard or being cut up for parts. To each their own. I'm sure it's no different than a gasser.

Aaaaaand just missing the big wheels it's the same thing. You still need a ladder to get in it. Maybe you should install nerf bars to make it easier to get in and out. JC Whitney should have them for Cutlass right?

No that takes away from the hillbilly. Lifted cars and trucks mean a small *****. Cars and trucks slammed to the ground are just scraping on everything unless everything is tucked in tight. Another unessential modification.

I don't agree with "to each their own." It's why the country is jacked up. Someone should whack this guy over the head with the "taste bat."

If we can't do our own thing then we would all drive black 72s no different colors or models....for that reason I'm out!

Its their personal vision for the car, I'm sure that their will be people that don't care for what I do to my Oldsmobile.
I say build the car of your dreams what ever that may be.

I agree with build what you want the way you want it, do not build it the way some from society feel is the right way.
Your car,your money!
I like the diversity, keeps things interesting and fun.
Anymore at shows,I usually keep walking past the factory stock cars, they are all the same, seen them many times. The custom and modified cars get my attention because they are different and offer something new to me to admire.
