Hemi Olds Roller

A few years back I peeked in the back room at the Heritage center, there was a rolling chassis with an Olds Hemi , I asked what it was all about and they just gave me a blank look. Lol. I found the pic
the back room has cases and racks just full of cool stuff.

Would love to see that. Maybe the OCA should contact the Heritage Center and see if they would loan it out for Nationals. Better yet, donate it to the RE Olds Museum (fat chance)

Sexy, Sexy, Sexy, could it have the W-27 rear also? They probably hide it so Olds lovers don't have heart seizures on the floor. Thanks for posting.

When I did the tour, they recently compleated a tall Olds Rocked sign, it was cool, restored all the neon and all, it’s on the back wall, well next door is the top secret place, we got to go in there too.

I’d like to do another tour some time, maybe team up with the local guys here, we just don’t have enough Detroit are guys to do one. We usually go to Duggans and shoot the shat over a beer and a burger. You know, there’s olds engines in T/A’s, you guys would have something in common.

This display used to be in the REO Museum. It got moved to the Heritage Center about a decadea ago. Don't read anything into this, it's just one of the W-43 prototype motors that got dropped into an A-body frame for display purposes at the museum.

Correct. I was on the board at the REOlds transportation museum when this was put together. I think it was about 1996. ~BOB

We saw it during the 1997 Oldsmobile Centennial celebration.
There are a couple of close up pictures of it here: http://texas442.com/01engines/

Another crazy thing I saw was the back half of a Banshee under a semi in the back dock. I crawled under there for a few shots. I got a pic of that somewhere.

Looks like they changed the fuel line routing between the heritage and centennial pictures. Do the valve covers have 3 breather ports? Would love to see the Banshee pic. Would've been nice to get pictures of the casting numbers off the block and intake. I love the 1 off exhaust manifolds and other special items.
