help i need hubs
A J88 should use the same hubs as an A-body (Cutlass/442). I'm curious about the recent spate of people needing hubs, however. What's wrong, exactly? The only thing I can imagine are either broken wheel studs or torn up races for the bearings. Both can be replaced.
Joe, I think the holes are starting to waller
out from all the Chiniesum bolts that don't
fit right. Yes, they fit ok for now, but the shanks
where they fit in the hub are short on the 'grabbers',
for lack of the proper name. Over time they kill the hubs.
They just don't fit worth a damn and can loosen up, and if your not
careful, you have a wheel that wont come off because the
bolt is spinning in the hub.
I remember years ago, you had to heat and beat to get the
factory ones out... they fit that well. They never spun out,
they freaking broke or stripped the threads.
