ST 70 = style/model year = 1970

34477: 3 = GM division = Oldsmobile; 44 = model series = 442; 77 = body style = sports coupe (i.e., 2-door post)

G = assembly plant = Framingham MA

82033 BDY = Fisher Body number (has no relationship to the vehicle identification number (VIN)

TR 930 = interior color and front seat type = black interior with bucket seats

55 PNT: You have a number or a letter missing here. The only thing I can guess is that if it says "55 55 PNT" then your lower and upper body colors are both galleon gold.

0E4: This is the time build code but it doesn't come in this form. Perhaps this is really 04E? If it is, then your car was built in April (04), fifth week of that month (E), 1970.

It takes a little time to work your way around this site. I still haven't found out how to do some things but you will eventually figure out how to do what you want to do.

When you do figure it out, post pics of all those cars you have! Sounds like quite a fleet!

Could Use Help- Build Date Code on Cowl Tag

I have decoded everything except I do not see a build date code?
The B85 and C08 codes appear/are to be trim options for Belt Reveal Molding and Black Vinyl Top- which I have.
Also what is the number 1 at the top RH.
I also have the build sheet and have deduced it is an early build for 1970 model year, probably August 1969.

Interesting in two respects. First, no time build code. Second, the Fisher Body number is usually a six-digit number. I have never seen a Fisher Body number like "E 15". This is interesting and deserves a closer look from those on this site more informed!

it is going to be the 15th "34487" body produced for the NJ plant
possibly pre-mass production???

can you share some build sheet pics - what's in the upper LH box?

Here is the ratty looking build sheet. It was stained badly by the fuel tank mat.
I decoded it with a flashlight and magnifier. Copied that data to another sheet.
The top LH shows a Sched NO Date of 08 08-04. My guess it was 8th car built on August 4, 1969- Monday.
Above that is the code E00015 which relates to the cowl tag E15 code.

I would agree with your conclusions - If 8/4/69 was the first day of 1970 car builds at the Fremont plant, Fisher Body must've built some bodies before that, correct? ..... or is that a "08A" with a rivet thru it?

I have a stained '67 CA sheet, I piled a stack of books on top of it sandwiched between paper towels leached a bunch of the staining out - changed the paper towels a number of times before it became readable.

To correct you- the car was built in Linden, NJ. Not sure about the 08A question but the rivets don't seem to cover anything but it's possible.
Also, anybody know what the single #1 is on the top RH- it may take a former UAW guy from the Linden plant or Fisher to answer that?
I will try your trick to de-stain the BS, but carefully.

My '69 Fremont 4-4-2 has that same number up there in the upper right hand corner. I've seen others with a 2 in that same position. I don't know if anyone has a handle on what it means.
