Help with car photo id

So we are packing up our house and getting all sentimental. These pics are my wife’s grandad lonnie.

were trying to figure out what they were. Two I think are olds and one a studebaker. We still have a 61 lark he bought new. And we know he had a bunch of studebakers and olds along the way.

can y’all help? Would make my wife’s day to have info to put with the pictures

I think image #1 and image #2 are the same car?

I believe that car is a 1952 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight 4-Door Sedan.

The last photo looks like some 50s Dodge, or Plymouth.

thats really make sense now that you said it.

the link you added looks like it. Especially around headlights and “ninety eight” script in the side

you know. Maybe it is. There were a few sets of dodge wheels around the shop. And one set was on the lark I believe.

We thought it might be a studebaker because we knew. there was a 50s studebaker in the mix......they all got laid off at the same time and drove to the factory in Indiana Looking for work and we know that they took that studebaker on the trip

There are other several tell-tale signs:
Note the stainless steel chrome fender skirts - this was the only year of that particular style.
Note the rear-door vertical chrome escutcheon.
Note the small vent windows locations.
Note the three upright front bumper rails.
Note the front hood ornament.
Compare any/all of those features to 1951 & 1953.

I don't think the last picture is a fiftie era car by the look of the split windshield, more like 48-49 ish. Could be a Studebaker but looks more like Dodge or Plymouth,Just a guess as the side view is pretty generic.... Tedd

Here's a couple more just for fun...
This is the wife's lark out this weekend we went to a cookout at my friends place the other pic is his 55 new yorker 2 door hartop. the new yorker is kinda cool it has a coil spring front end with shock inside the coil like gm cars, as opposed to the torsion bar suspension on other mopars. I believe this one is push button trans as well....most of his collection is push button. and well theres the original hemi in it
