help with 73 delta 88 engine install

so, im in the middle of an engine swap in my 73 delta 88 and can use some info on a couple things....
the original engine that was in there was a olds 455, my dad 20+ years back swapped in a buick 455.
now whats going in there is an olds 425.
i know that on the side of the block are 3 holes, on each side, where 2 of them
are for the engine mount.
my guess is that the engine mount attaches to the rear 2 holes, and the front hole (on the drivers side) is for the power steering bracket.
my question is...(for all the delta owners -since i have yet to install a 455 inmy 71 cutlass).....
are the rear 2 holes the correct holes to mount the engine mounts to ?
i currently have the engine attached to the trans, and the engine mounts on the 2 rear holes in the block, but since i DO NOT have the frame mounts, not sure if thats 100% correct.
the buick blocks frame mounts sat closer to the front of the frame, seems to me that the original olds frame mounts sit closer to the rear of the frame.
am i correct in placing the engine mounts in the rear 2 holes ?

The Delta uses the front set of holes, the rear set is used in Cutlass The PS bracket is also mounted to the front hole WITH SPACER. Good Luck,

What happened to the Buick engine??

Sorry, that is not correct. The front two holes are only used on the 1964-1970 full size cars and the 1973-74 Omegas. The OP's 73 D88 uses the REAR two holes, same as every 1971-1990 full size RWD Olds. FYI, on those cars that do use the front two holes, the PS pump bracket spacer is thinner than on the other cars.

You could also just purchase a Chassis Service Manual for your car, where the motor mount installation drawing will show you that the rear two holes are used.

including the pics of the mount locations. you are correct with the info on
the rear 2 holes on the block.
