Help

So i have 1969 f85 and I'm guessing someone changed the steering column from column shift to floor shift and now I'm having problem with neutral safety switch how would I go about moving it from the column to floor shift

Do you have a factory floor shifter? If so you'll need to get the correct neutral safety switch, then get a pigtail or extend the wires from your column to the floor shifter. John

Doesn't 69 have backdrive linkage that operates the steering wheel lock and NS/backup lamp switches? Or did that come later on the locking columns?

That's the trouble when you get hold of something someone else has cobbled up and didn't document how anything was done, what the new parts came from, ad nauseam...

Whoever installed the steering column either didn't reinstall the backdrive linkage or did not adjust it properly. Either is an easy fix.

how would i go about reinstalling the back drive linkage or adjusting it

Is this what is being discussed? Yes my linkage rod over header is bent, welded header pipe a little high, had to bent to make it work.
