Headliners

Heard there a nightmare if the windshield is still in. How much of a pain are they ? Can it be done by someone (me) who has never done one. Or should I take it to a pro of course I want it to look good so maybe that's the root to take. So what's something like that cost ? And is it a good idea to sand & POR-15 before it goes in ? Thx and I'll hang up and listen to your answers. Sorry I get that from calling in to ESPN radio

I helped my son do his Chevelle. It is not that hard, but it takes time ,and can be a little PITA. It took a lot to get it real nice, and we had to do some cutting on the bow lopes to get right. I would check with a shop for a price, if I remember right it is not that bad, but I don't know how much you want to spend. Not sure where you live, but you want to do it in warm weather. To me it is a two man job, and lots of clamps, and good glue.

Thx that Chevelle step by step was real helpful and I'm gonna take a crack at it come spring seems like warm is the key.
How bout the prep should I sand and POR-15 the whole thing or does it need to breathe ? Figured since I'm taking out seats, console everything and doing the floors with POR-15 & sound insulation should I be doing the same with the top including insulation or combo sound/insulation. Do they even make something like that to go up before the headliner or is it completely unnecessary and will make my job that much tougher with now limited space. Thx again I love this stuff even if I am just a very handy moron
