Headlight upgrade

Hello folks,

I saw a blurb on Facebook where one could fairly easily use late model jeep headlights as cheap brighter lights on the big headlight Oldsmobiles.

I can not find the blurb again.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

No need. Run halogens.

There is a thread on the HAMB that talks of Toyota Land Cruiser conversion lights that look very similar to the old round 7" bulbs but use newer halogen bulbs. They actually come thru the Toyota parts system. I am considering them for my F100.
Here it is- https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...ights.1324784/

Not to high jack the thread, is there anything special you need to do to switch to halogen headlights other than plug them in?

Read this (Headlights) thread and note Gary's post. A very effective way to increase (basically double) your headlight output >>>>> #10

That was my thread.👍
I replaced mine with stock style halogen bulbs and they are much brighter than the old ones. I haven't done the relay mod yet but my neighbor did on his Impala and his headlights are even brighter than mine so it definitely works.
Not that I doubted yall

I bought 3 sets of the Toyota headlights, under 60$, they are very nice, comes with relays also, can't beat the price, bulbs will cost as much as the complete sets.
they are over stock so they may not last long.

No, they're direct swap plug ins. I run them in my old stuff. Think I will stick with the T3s and see poorly in the 68.

I put a set of the smaller ones in a TA as driving lights. When you wire the halos, one wire is lights white, then 2 wires lights yellow. It may not be the case on all of them, but keep that in mind.
