Talking Head rest

You know the plastic pieces under the head rest but above the seat, are they made reproduction? Mine is dry rotted, or if some one has a spare set let me know i can purchase and redye if necessary. I pulled my old ones off they were white and kept crumbling on my black carpet.

Yes,

I don't think I understand. I thought you were refering to the plastic piece that covers the headrest lock assembly? No?

I don't know what you're refering to in your last post. Please.Sorry

He's talking about the curved rectangular piece of plastic that covers the bottom of the headrest on bucket seats. These are the same color as the upholstery and are grained plastic (like the seat backs). I'm not aware of repros, but search Chevelle reproduction vendors.

The is a piece molded plastic that is attached to the bottom of head rest itself and it matches the interior color. I would like to know what it is called so it would help evrybody out.

Bench seat headrests are different (and less popular). The repro vendors advertise headrest covers, but don't say if this is just the vinyl cover or if it includes the plastic bottom piece as well. Is yours white or parchment? They're different.

That stapled-on plastic piece is NOT included with the Legendary covers - I know what you are talking about.
Best to get them used and paint to your color. Or maybe get some similar grained plastic sheets from a hobby store and cut to fit with sharp scissors and paint.

I have not seen them repo'd by anyone. Usually they are held in place by a plastic snap in piece as well, but many times have been replaced with screws.
