And he survived........

Don't know all the details but a 6-7 car pile up here this morning caused a 70 Chevelle convertible to be cut in 1/2 by an 18 wheeler.

I heard on the radio (KRLD) that the guys were racing. They said the guys in the Chevelle survived but two people in a Cadillac plowed into the crash and died. This is the first picture I have seen. It is hard to imagine anybody in the Chevelle surviving.

Unbelievable...very sad indeed. Needless to say what can happen when you do street racing.

Unbelievable. I feel sorry for the officers who have to notify the next of kin. But then with all the news hype they prolly already know.

I am sorry to hear this happened. But on the other side of the coin I am NOT a big fan of street racing because it puts other innocent drivers at risk. I hope the driver of the 18 wheeler comes out of this ok.

The radio said he was racing a Challenger or Charger (don't remember). I would guess the red car is the Cadillac.

Frickin' idiots.

Destroying cars and killing people, just so they can prove who's got the biggest salami.

Would've been cheaper all around if they'd just pulled up at a rest stop and whipped 'em out to compare...

When ANYBODY goes street racing, bad things happen...

Including the fact that idiot reporters don't know the difference between illegal street racing and legal (as in on a track) drag racing.

Unfortunately, as usual, the innocent bystanders are the ones killed.
