This past weekend I took my 64 88 for a fun drive. I found myself on a utility road that was newly paved and GET THIS had every 10th of a mile marked and every mile marked. The road was perfect for the imagination and the kid in me. The road had no homes. no buildings just a simple utility road. Thanks Obama for a road to no place!! It had a "Your Federal Tax Dollars At Work" sign at the begining of it... 5 miles long:
AND it had great visibility ( looking for troopers!!) I tested quarter mile speed and time and top end speed at the mile marker.
Fun

Hahaha That's great! I think there sould be one of those roads everywhere. I have one down here too and run my Gta hard on it. It's like a trip back in time when there were more wide open spaces, not mass congestion with a Mcd's every half mile. I can't wait until my '71 C/S is ready to hit the highway again... Have Fun

Corridor X in Alabama
I miss living in Alabama... Corridor X (20 years & still "almost finished") is a 6 lane divided interstate that's supposed to connect B'ham to Memphis...
I always wanted to do some wide open runs but never got around to it. There's some several mile long open stretches that are quite tempting. Hope you have/had fun & don't get caught!
