He could at least have spent the extra couple of bucks to dye the console and seats the right colour. Is that a small block? Kinda sad that he includes the pics from the previous owner's craiglist sale a month before. I really hate flippers.

I'm sure I'm alone in this, but I dig the car.
I don't care too much for green cars, but this one, kinda works. I would have to dye the seats and console, any maybe drop in a built 455, but I'd have no problem owning that.

Where's Gas monkey garage when you need them to spend 10 times what it's worth and lose their shirt in the resale for shear entertainment!

I like this a whole bunch. Kinda reminds me of what the 300 letter cars where to Chrysler. A full size luxury performance car is exactly what Olds should have built back than.

Yeah, the more I think about it the more it's not so bad. Needs a 455, though.

65-66 Starfire or 77-79 Holiday 88 console and buckets woulda worked better, and bumper-mounted OAI scoops would have really cemented "stealth bomber" concept, but at least they didn't put a Chebby or LS engine in it!

Not completely gorgeous, but not completely heinous either.

Is there a 5x5 pattern SSIII wheel for these cars? Green matching SSIII with a functional OAI air cleaner on a pretty blue paint real W30 455 engine with W30 alum intake then it would be there...

Yes, but it has a different center cap design and came out in 1978. In 71/72 the Polycast SSIV was the wheel of choice for upscale Delta's.

SSIV

Custom Chrome SSIII for 78 Delta

71/72 Polycast were not an option for 98's, only Delta series.

Didn't stop me from putting them on my 76 Regency Sedan!

On 5x5 BC SS3- I was told by an Olds Zone Service guy that a few sets were made for the 77 D88 Pace Car program since those cars had 403 and 403 Deltas were suposed to have the 5x5 and big brakes, but we all know the cars came with 5x4.75. What brought it up was there was a set at the Centennial swap meet, and I questioned them. Only set I ever saw.

No such beast ever made. Last 98 Convertible was 1970.

I like them, but they weigh 1.2 billion pounds. My tie rods breathed a huge sigh of relief when I parted with mine.
