I'm sure I'm alone in this, but I dig the car.
I don't care too much for green cars, but this one, kinda works. I would have to dye the seats and console, any maybe drop in a built 455, but I'd have no problem owning that.

 

Very tasteful, they are bond on hood scoops.

I like this a whole bunch. Kinda reminds me of what the 300 letter cars where to Chrysler. A full size luxury performance car is exactly what Olds should have built back than.

65-66 Starfire or 77-79 Holiday 88 console and buckets woulda worked better, and bumper-mounted OAI scoops would have really cemented "stealth bomber" concept, but at least they didn't put a Chebby or LS engine in it!

Is there a 5x5 pattern SSIII wheel for these cars? Green matching SSIII with a functional OAI air cleaner on a pretty blue paint real W30 455 engine with W30 alum intake then it would be there...

 

Yes, but it has a different center cap design and came out in 1978. In 71/72 the Polycast SSIV was the wheel of choice for upscale Delta's.

those were optional on all deltas and 98. i got a base 71 delta 88 2dr that came with then and a 455 2 barrel carb. my 71 delta 88 royale 2 dr also came with then

 

71/72 Polycast were not an option for 98's, only Delta series.

 

Didn't stop me from putting them on my 76 Regency Sedan!

On 5x5 BC SS3- I was told by an Olds Zone Service guy that a few sets were made for the 77 D88 Pace Car program since those cars had 403 and 403 Deltas were suposed to have the 5x5 and big brakes, but we all know the cars came with 5x4.75. What brought it up was there was a set at the Centennial swap meet, and I questioned them. Only set I ever saw.
