The storm came through Garland and Rowlett and some other areas. Garland and Rowlett sustained more damage than other areas. I live in Rowlett and the tornado passed about a mile behind my house. We were not home when it came through. I could have stood on my deck and watched it when it crossed over I-30 where it intersects with the George Bush Tollroad. Eight of the eleven people killed were in that area and their cars were blown off the overpass. Richard lives in the area but I don't think the area he is in was hit.

Richard texted me back. He and his family are fine and were not home during the storms. He said his place was right in tornadoes path but it went back up in sky and came back down 5miles away.

Yea we were on our way back home still 2 hours away when it went down. We were really lucky. If you follow the path the tornado took it pretty much went about 1/4 mile away from our property. It had gone back up and then came back down in Farmersville and did a bunch more damage. That's also where 3 of the deaths were.
I friend or mine took video of the cars that blew off the overpass a few minutes after it happened. That where most people died. There was no one surviving the cars I saw.
