GBody wiper arms

Auto correct sucks! I typed gbody! Not Goodyear... lol!

Am I the only one having trouble with the passenger side wiper arm staying on the irregular stud on gbody cars. I am thinking about drilling and tapping the stud and screwing the thing in place. Any ideas, if you have not experienced this you might not understand what I am referring to, if you have experienced this you will know exactly what I am talking about!

Fixed your title. Although I do not own a Gbody. Isn't there a locking clip that holds the arm to the wiper mechanism?

Yes ,there should be a Spring loaded locking clip that would keep them from coming off unless the clip was released. And I agree with you about the"auto correct". Gets to where you proof is a must.! Larry

Thanks Eric! Yes, there is a swing piece, I would not call it a clip, very poor OE design, In my opinion. I am not in a position to post any pictures right now, maybe someone else has one, or a google shot, to explain what I am talking about.

Have you verified that the right wiper arm is in fact for the right side... Is it possible a left hand arm was installed in error? If it is in fact a right hand wiper arm, either the arm or the wiper transmission is worn...

Arms ar not interchangeable, I'm sure there is wear there. My previous arm split the pot metal. The one in question is a used one, much better than what I had. I imagine the aftermarket if even available is cheaper quality materials than the OE.
