I have the exact same fuel system in my '67 Delta 88. That sending unit is not made new. I used one for a '72 Delta 88, which IS made new and available from rockauto.com among other places. It's their part number FG106A. $53.79 plus shipping. It's a drop-in replacement as far as fit, but if your car doesn't have a fuel return line, you'll have to cap that as I had to.
It's not a perfect replacement because the canister acted as a damper for fluid motion in the tank, and the replacement doesn't have this. So the gauge wiggles a bit as you go around corners or up and down hills, but that is a very small price to pay, in my opinion, for a working fuel gauge that required nothing more than buying a new sending unit and dropping it in.
I've had mine four about four years now without a problem.

By the way, I've seen NOS canister units come up on ebay maybe two or three times since I was looking for one. Each time, they want about $300. Ugh. At a judged car show, no one sees the sending unit.
