Gas Gague Issue

Installed my Gauges last night. Upon installing i noticed the needle for the gas gague was far left past the "E" almost 90 Degrees too far left. The needle will still move when the key is turned but its refrence to Empty is way off point. Is there an adjustment or is something internal screwed up?

Thanks

improper wiring can cause that to happen as well i believe. my issue that i had with my cutlass was when they put the fuel sensor in the tank, it got snagged on itself somehow and caused it to read full. after fiddling with everything besides the tank. i finally dropped it to find the problem. idk how often of a problem this is but if its your last option, it wouldn't hurt to check.

It probably has a short to ground somewhere.
