Fuel Pumps!!!!! grrrr!

This story is almost impossible to believe. Wednesday I had a fuel pump go out on a shop truck at work. Thursday, My wifes friend had a fuel pump go out. I offered to haul it to a local shop to save here a tow bill. Tonight I loaded it up and didn't get 50 feet and my fuel pump went out in my truck. I call a friend to come help but he was in the middle of changing his fuel pump on his truck. So I get a ride to my parents house and take my Dads truck and leave him a note. I get back to my truck and friends car and all went well. I got our friends car to the shop, went back and loaded my truck and on the way home my dad calls. He needs me to bring the trailer to where he works to pick his car up because he thinks the fuel pump went out. I bet you can guess what i am working on tomorrow.

three different stations that get their gas from the same refinery/terminal? the additive package makes the brand. and, they just started the switch to the winter blend gas, a prime time for some goober to mess-up the recipe.

i wouldn't be surprised at too much ethanol. i forget where i heard/read it, but testing of gas dispensed from pumps labelled "up to 10% ethanol" were testing as high as 20% ethanol. i heard/read it within the past month.
