This is not an olds question but looking for other opinions on a solution to a problem

Vehicle 2002 GM savana van 3500( One of my work vans)

One of the Upper A frame brackets broke off the frame(It rotted)
The bracket itself is welded to the frame. The frame itself is perfect no rust of any kind just the bracket was junk.

Is this some thing that should be repaired?
I know it "can" be repaired by welding on a new mount but is this not a safe thing to do.
The trucK is in great shape otherwise
