Nice motor on the front cover but not one olds inside

Notice the price on the cover is the same for US/Canada? Volume 1, Issue 2 - what year is that, something like 1950?

On the cover its to display until Jan 20/11 and inside it says they are pleased to have Canadian Jeff Norwell render the image for the cover and to check his website www.jeffnorwell.com It does indeed have the look of the 50's
