Found a car!

I busted on to the scene here about a month ago and immediately got looking for a '66 or '67 Cutlass ragtop. I looked at a few, made a couple of offers, and even started looking at 98's, but nothing panned out.

Well, I found a car last week and will be picking it up later this week. Here's a body shot for now:

Yep, a '75 Eldorado, not a Cutlass or a 98. I spotted it on eBay whilst scanning for convertibles and it turns out the car was located about 30 miles away. The owner was really cool and let me take it on a good long highway ride. He even got a mechanic buddy of his to put it up on a lift for me. He wanted to let the auction run it's course and he did, but in the end I was the winner. I didn't steal it, but at $10,200 I paid on the low end of what the books peg it at. If you go back to my intro you'll see that these long, low Caddy's were catching me looking. This one caught me hard. I'm happy.

So, Olds dudes, I'll be dropping off the radar in to lurk mode. Thanks to all here who tolerated my n00bness and helped me out with finding ads and such. I hope to find a Caddy forum populated by a similar bunch.

WTG, I'm glad you found something. Post some more pictures when you get time. Those were some of the last land yachts with hood for days.

I wish you luck and happy cruising in that Eldoboat! We wont hold it against you that your purchase was not an Olds (Yeah Right!) Should be some nice times ahead.

Nice.

I've always wanted a nice, clean Caddy, though I prefer them about ten years older than that.

Should be a s-m-o-o-t-h ride.

Very nice Eldorado! The only downside is you'll find no Cadillac forums are as busy or as hepful as CO! We Caddy owners must be stuck up or something.

69 heads give you about 11 to 1 compression on that 500, but good luck finding gas!
Had a Limo getting about 17MPG with a little tweaking and those heads.
