First parts car!

Hello! it has been close to a year since i posted last, or at least it seems that way.

I was searching on my local CL and found this: it is a 1970 Cutlass supreme 4 door hardtop, Az car, 350 4bbl, AC, front disc brakes, th350 trans, it was listed for 800 i was able to talk the guy down to 550. it will be used as a parts car for my 70 cutlass 4 door (Same car) that i have been fixing up, i will put that car under major projects once I'm done pulling parts off. Here are some pics after I tore the front end off thought y'all would like to see.

Since the seat backs tip forward it looks like the front bench seat came out of a two door car. It has the center arm rest too. If you don't use that seat offer it for sale before you junk it. John

John,
I have a 72 4 door hardtop sedan that he bought a door off of, and it has the exact same bench seat.
If you'll notice, there is no lever to tilt the seat forward, mine is the same. I think the bench with armrest was a cutlass supreme feature only, weather a 2 door or 4 door. It seems to make no sense, why would you need to tilt the seat forward with a 4 door??? But i guess if you wanted the armrest, that's what you got.

Oldspackrat, yeah it is the same as yours, it had a fender from a cutlass s on it to so maybe that is how this car came across that bench seat.

Are bench seats with a arm rest hard to come by?

What are you going to do with the rest of the car? How are the floors?

That bench seat came from the factory in that car, I'm almost positive of that. It does flip forward, but if you look at the bottom rear of the seats, there is normally a little lever that you pull up to tilt the seat forward. In the 2 door & 4 door cutlass supremes, they use the same seat, but there is no lever & nothing for the hook to catch on either. I've talked to a few guys & this is how the Supreme 4 door cars came from the factory.
Bench seats with the center arm rests are a little more in demand than the regular split bench seat with no arm rest.

BFG, the floors are good a little surface rust on some part, then the front passenger side may have a pin hole but i can't remember.

My plans for the car is to use the front clip, bumpers, doors, 1/4 panels, and the frame. the rest of the car will more then likely be sold.

I'm looking for the section along the top of the center floor brace. the section that is just behind the rear of the front seat mount. What kind of shape is that section in? I live in Illinois.
