The first H/O

Hey all,
Some of ya'll already know this info but I got this article link from an OPG newsletter. Go the bottom of the page for the H/O article. The paint color and the headlight bezel paint tips are interesting also. I wish I had taken the time to do a better paint job on my bezels when I did them a few months ago

Yah, good read for the most part, but not without some expected inaccuracies. I've given up on getting some of these urban myths and legends killed off.

Yeah, I figured some of these old stories aren't quite correct after all these years. The same way that fish keeps getting bigger and bigger! I'm sure there's a few of these Olds timers on here that remember how it really happened with some of the "special" models that came from the factory back in the day. If you ever watch the auctions on the boob tube, they always seems to have a few cars that were special becaue of this or that, but there's always that little voice in my head that says (among other things) is that really so? and it sold for how much?!?! But it's pretty cool to read some history on the old cars, especially the Olds!

Good read,thanks for the link.

I didn't know the pinstripes were hand painted...and all 515 cars done in 1 month.

Anyone know what ever happened to the first and only H/O with the 4 speed? Is it still around?

Last I heard it was still in the Demmer family. Demmer Engineering was the conversion house for the '68 H/Os, and they built the one and only '68 H/O with a 4-speed.

Thanks for the info. Any 68 H/O would be awesome to own but that 1 with the 4 speed is the 1 to own
