First generation olds engine in buick 1956
Is there anyone here with experience in putting first generation oldsmobile engine ( including 1953 with dynaflow) into 1954 to 1956 buick (big or little series).
Yes I know about with money anything is possible.
Thanks
Ron

Even with a 1953 Olds Dynaflow you still have to mate it to the Buick's torque tube and figure out a way to start it. Buick was using Carter carbs back then and DK how you'd adapt Buick's gas pedal start to an Oldsmobile's Rochester.
Use the Nailhead and a Buick Dynaslush. Makes things a lot simpler.

.
While Olds did install a number of Dynaflow transmissions in late 1953, they were different from the Buick version,
The flywheel housing on the front was different, to bolt up to the Olds motor.
The flywheel was different, even the crankshaft was different in the engine.
Besides that, the output shaft and rear tail housing are different.
Because Olds used an open driveshaft, where Buick used a closed "torque tube " driveline.
I suppose someone could build a " franken-tranny " with an Olds and a Buick trans.
That would fit both the Olds motor and the Buick driveline, but WHY ??
