Fire Extinguisher Mount - Trans Hump

Hi,
Wanting to mount a flat bracket for my fire extinguisher to the trans hump. How much clearance is there typically between the underneath of the floor pan to the trans? Want to put the bracket on with enough screw thread to grab securely without damaging anything else in the process. Any recommendations for size of the screw to use?

I would use rivet nuts, 10-32 at a minimum or 1/4-20.
