Finally got one😀

I'd been seeing these on ebay for quite a while now, but the $ was a bit much for me. I finally saw one last week and took a chance on the opening bid for $60.

Needless to say, I won. It's the Crown Premiums 1/24 scale NAPA release of the '72 442 W30 'vert coin bank. I can't say much for the tires, and I'm pretty sure the wheels are supposed to be body color, but those are both minor issues that can be taken care of.

Lemme just say that the level of detail on this thing is incredible! Of course it has working steering and suspension, but check out the "Oldsmobile" mat in the trunk, the "cleaner air" decal and mirror on the visors, and it even has the vin decal on the door! I didn't look for a cowl tag, but it wouldn't surprise me...lol. Even a NAPA battery!

Usual goodies under hood, and a W-27 rear rounds out the package.

That is NICE! Massive detail w/ the decals and under hood cables, and the interior is awesome.

I suspect somebody's gonna make a comment about those stripes.

But dang, that sure is detailed. I can't make out the shifter - 4 speed or Dual gate?

I think that is about the nicest mass produced model I have seen.

Yeah, with all that detail why the hiccup with the wheels. I wonder if the same company does an HO and they just borrowed the wheels.

It must have been in a roll over wreck that the windshield frame is bent back

I'll bite: The stripes are more accurate than I see on many W-cars.

With all the detail, I wonder why the dash pad is white? Very cool model, regardless!

Slight upgrades
Painted the wheels and added white letter decals to the tires.

I found one like my car last week on Ebay. Got it for a $100 and the detail is great. Steering wheel operates the front wheels and even the side vent windows open. Been looking for one quite a while.
