Finally found the one.

Start to finish, short the install,
less than 45 minutes after I pulled
it from the mailbox.

66-67 V-8. Who the Hell knows.
Damn thing fits and works right.

I guess the 4th times a charm
in this case. Bead blasted, etch primed 1st.
Turned out ok for me. Install pics after a sunshine dry.

On a side note, the rod has a p/n. I had to gt my mag/glass
out to read it. P/N 98212. Choke body w/spring p/n 29984.
Just in case someone is keeping score.

Good job. BTW, I see you have the same basic blast cabinet I do. Picked mine up from P.A. for 188.00. Bit of a PITA to put together and seal though. I have mine hooked to my shop vac when its in use and that keeps the dust down a lot. Love the easy dump bottom funnel.

I ended up using a rechargeable mechanics light in the cabinet. It's magnetic and I can adjust it for pretty much any position I want when I'm blasting. Works really well and doesn't get in the way of the view window. Used it all last season cleaning plenty o parts.

Thanks Allan.
I just have a dryer hose
connected from it to a hole in the wall
and a 100 wt. bulb to help me
out in conjunction with the light
in the cabinet. Works well. I run about
125 psi with tiny glass beads, no complaints whatsoever.
This thing jams. But yes, what a pita to put together.
Did you like my c/c background? Gotta have somfin.

I found that running between 90-110 psi works really well with 120 glass grit. I change out to coarse for really tough cleans, then dump and use the fine grit for finishing up. To clean the grit I usually sift it through an old metal spaghetti strainer. Works great. I get the occasional jam too, usually in the gun, even with a moisture trap 15' from the compressor.

Ha ha, cool.
When I said jams,
I meant like Ted Nugent
in 1980.

I used to set up the 8 track
to play "Feel like maki'n Love"
for that "just right moment"
on a midnight cruise or at the drive in theater.
Now were going back...

Hi Ted.
Yeah, they are great and make
short work of rusty stuff. I like to
use the etch primer too. No need for
paint primer. Especially sweet for pullys
and brackets.

Funny to hear you say that. Went out with a fine young lady once that brought that 8track with her and changed tracks until that song came on. Quite the message I felt so I just had to appease her!
