Final pics of the 66 (added pro picture 9-7-10)

Well I have completed the stuff the new owner and I agreed to. The car is back together and I am paid in full. Its headed to California this week so I drove around town tonight looking for some cool places to shoot last pictures of the car. When I was done my neighbor made me come over to his camera studio and he took a bunch more with his $3000 camera and professional lighting. I know his work so those will come out 1000X better but here in my attempt at something cool.

Richard: With these pics of yours, you are giving your professional cameraman a run for his money. Great shots!
I also love your choice of backgrounds!!!

I would't go that far. I drove it in a room with all white walls and the flashes is incredible. He showed me a few shots in his little camera screen and they were amazing looking. I can't wait to see the results he prints out.

Didn't know there was one. I will have to keep that in mind. Most of those were down town Wylie.

My next car project I put lots of effort in you guys are not going to car much about around here. If had a speed bug for a while now and have ended up with someones 85 Camaro project. Its already got a cage and built rear end. I will be adding a LS1 6.0 and turbo.

That car is amazing. The picture in front of the sub-station is really good. I sure hope that car is going to someone who is going to drive it often. Can't wait to see your next build.

What a great send off for the car- to take it for an awesome photo shoot!

You don't give yourself enough credit- your pics look amazing.

Its been a great ride (following the build) Thanks again for all the inspiration on my own project!

Richard: I hope the guy in California will appreciate all the hard work you put into the '66! The pictures do it justice; yet, having seen it "for real", they don't. Hard to describe. Wonderful shots, cannot imagine a professional photographer doing any better! We will await the next, great Oldsmobile to come out of your mind and your work. Thanks for your great effort in our hobby. See you at the Marriott for this month's meeting, or October's Zone Show????

Nice work (as usual).

Hard to tell from the photos, but how was the paint match on the lower front fender "doglegs" where you did the rust repair? How did you match it, if you don't mind my asking? I assume yout just painted form the belt molding down?

I can see it in the pictures but in person its real hard to see the difference. The guy that painted them for me messed with the color for a few days in his spare time. He used a camera from the paint shop but the mix it told him to use has way off. He started from scratch and got it real close. Considering its base coat /clear coat up next to 45 year old lacquer I don't think he could have done any better.
